Two more days left to get everything sorted before we join you guys!
As usual, I have left almost everything till the last minute, and have forgotten to do most of the important things I should've done earlier.
In anticipation of the cold (and possible rain), I have finally given my magic boots a good scrubbing, after months and months of "Oh they'll just get muddy again next time I go to the forest, no point cleaning them now". (Hey, if Surin can talk about cleaning his ceiling fans, I can talk about scrubbing my boots.) I call them my magic boots because they have served me lovingly for over 10 years in all sorts of different conditions, although I believe they are now finally giving up the fight and slowly dying on me. Sob. Boots, time for one last whirl around London, then you can go to a well-deserved eternal rest.
Everyone keeps saying that summer is being really iffy this year, so I am packing for both hot and cold weather! I know there's going to be something fairly important that I'll forget though. I'm already experiencing anxiety attacks in anticipation.
Tuesday night we are all crashing at Surin's place so we can walk over to KL Sentral early in the morning, and catch the 9 ringgit bus to the airport. Yes, we do take cheapskateness to a new level. I am proud.
And, I am bringing my little betta (that's Jamal the Fish, to you guys) to the office tomorrow, so that Auntie Dayang can give him Tender Loving Care for the next 2 weeks :-). Bye bye Jamal, be good and please don't die on me while I'm gone.
Ho hum, passport, money, clothes, shoes, bags, camera, check check check...don't know why I bother making lists, I always forget something anyway...
